This Saturday, friends, family, and community members will gather at Batley Library to celebrate the life of a man affectionately known as Mr Batley — Malcolm.

Malcolm wasn’t just a familiar face around town; he was a cornerstone of Batley’s historical and cultural preservation. Through years of dedicated research, storytelling, and public service, he ensured the rich history of our town was never forgotten. Whether through talks, exhibitions, or community projects, Malcolm brought Batley’s past to life for generations to come.

Join us on Saturday 17th May from 1:30pm to 4:30pm at Batley Library for an afternoon of shared memories, photos, and stories. A special showing of “This Is His Life” will reflect on his legacy, and light refreshments will be served.

It’s a chance not just to remember Malcolm, but to celebrate the lasting impact one person can have on a whole community.
