Birstall Knit and Natter
Birstall Knit and Natter group are taking action on the energy crisis! The group has been given a grant to buy wool which they will then use for the “Warm Blanket Project”, knitting blankets and other items for elderly and vulnerable people in the local community.
The knitting group has existed for over 10 years and has helped several charities by knitting and selling toys and small items of clothing. This year one of their charities is Outlookers, the local sight loss charity.
The group meets every Tuesday afternoon at 1pm in Birstall Library and they are always looking for new members to join in. This year Birstall Chamber of Trade has asked us to make a flowing poppy collage for the British Legion’s Poppy Appeal and they would love some volunteers to join in and help!
